I loved visiting Walden Pond several years ago when I was at the American Antiquarian Society for a week. The library is lovely. I have my copy of Little Women that you gave me. Maybe I will get it out and read it while I am off my foot next month.

Nancy, many congrats on finding a job in a difficult economy. Like you, I wasn't prepared to hang it up, either. I feel fortunate to have landed a position about 18 months ago with the University of Texas, as a senior business attorney and business strategy advisor. I likewise found this opportunity online and discovered later that I was one of 80 lawyers who had applied for the position. Just as well that I didn't know this in advance. I'm loving the job and the people I work with, and I hope to keep working for many years to come. Frankly, I think retirement is greatly over-rated! All the best, Paul

Hi Nancy,

I completed sixty years of earthly existence a couple of hours ago and have been thinking for the last several weeks about the culmination it represents and the significance of a new decade: a new beginning for we meaning seekers and meaning creators.

I was moved to consider using seventhdecade.com as a home for logging insights and tales from the path. In taking steps to do so I found your nascent site. Some minds think alike! Birds of a feather?

Am looking forward to enjoying your written and visual morsels in the days ahead.

Happy seventh!
